It went on to become one of the all time musical hit.The movie stars Rishi Kapoor, zeenat Aman, Tariq, Kaajal Kiran, Om Shiv Puri, Jalal Agha & Amjad Khan. This movie was produced and directed by Nasir Hussain,music was composed by R.D Burman. Mohd Rafi won the National Award for Best Playback Singer and Filmfare Award in the same category that year for the super hit song " Kya Hua Tera Wada ". Other hit songs in the movie are " Chand Mera Dil " , " Bachna Ae Haseeno ", Tum Kya Jano Mohabbat Kya Hai " & " Mil Gaya Humko Saathi " which were part of the famous medley.

  Ijaazat is an acclaimed Hindi movie directed by Gulzar was released in 1987. This realistic movie,also known as art cinema or parallel cinema, stars Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha & Anuradha Patel in the leading roles . This movie is about the divorced couple who accidentally meet in the waiting room of the railway station and how they discover about their lives without each other. R.D Burman composed one of his best compositions for this movie and all the four songs were sung by Asha Bhosle and she recieved a National Award for Best Female Playback Singer,while Gulzar got the Best Lyricist Award.
